NEW MEXICO WILDFIRE RELIEF CONCERT
This Memorial Day Weekend Michael will continue his efforts to help fire relief by performing in Placitas, N.M. for the NEW MEXICO WILDFIRE RELIEF CONCERT #1. (Sat. May 27th). The event is being held at The ROCKIN'R GALLERY to help meet special needs for firefighters in the Placitas-Bernalillo area.
The New Mexico Farm and Wildlife Bureau is an early sponsor and is organizing a statewide marketing campaign.
In addition to the concert the event will host the first annual Placitas/Bernalillo GREAT AMERICAN B-B-Q COOKOFF.
The event is being held at the chuckwagon style amplitheatre behind the ROCKIN' R GALLERY in Placitas.
You can go to www.placitaschamber.org and www.bernalillochamber.org for maps and details of area recreation and lodging. Area attractions include hiking and horseback riding in the nearby Cibola National Forest.
When in Placitas Michael likes to visit McCole's Pub next door in the HOMESTEAD VILLAGE. Bernalillo (just across the highway) has one of Michael's favorite hang outs THE RANGE CAFE and also olf in the world class golf at the HYATT/ TAMAYA RESORT in nearby Bernalillo. The world's longest tram is in Albuquerque.
Cost is $25.00 per person for the concert and B-B-Q cook-off. Food will be served for a separate price.
To get to the ROCKIN' R GALLERY go north on I-25 seven miles past Sandia Casino (at city limits) turn right at exit 242 (Highway 165) go 2 miles to HOMESTEAD VILLAGE on left. Just past the HOMESTEAD VILLAGE about 150 yards you will see the ROCKIN' R GALLERY on the left.
